NO TURN ON RED

I failed to obey this road sign today apparently.

I was coming home from the store and turned right on a red light...mind you, I have done this at this exact same light before. A few seconds later, a police car [lights flashing] pulled out behind me.

"Funny," I thought, "I'm going the speed limit; and I'm not doing anything else wrong...I wonder who he is going after."

So, I continued to drive, but the police car was STILL right behind me...I decided to pull over. Much to my surprise, the police car stopped right behind me. Then, I started to panic.

He came over to my window and asked if I knew what I had done wrong. Well, I couldn't think of anything so I told him that I did not. He told me that I turned right on red when it was not allowed. I don't remember seeing a sign anywhere saying so, but I apologized.

He then asked me where I was headed and if I considered myself as a good driver.

I must have given great answers because he didn't give me a ticket!
